울프강 스테이크하우스 – Wolfgang Steakhouse (Gangnam Gu – Cheongdam)

Wolfgang’s Steakhouse, with the flagship restaurant located on Park Avenue, was founded by the former headwaiter at Peter Luger Steak House, Wolfgang Zwiener. In addition to NYC, Beverly Hills, Hawaii, they have many branches in Asia – Japan, Philippines, Singapore, Hong Kong and China.

This place is not cheap. In fact, I don’t think I could come here that often – maybe once every two years. It was a special occasion and, thus, not a problem. Their porterhouse? was pretty damn good. It better have been at KRW 253,000 ($215) for 1kg – medium rare. Their steaks are wet-aged traveling from the US for 4 to 5 days and then dry-aged in-house for 28 days.

The sides were delicious in particular the lobster mac ’n cheese.

After having opened their Seoul location in 2015, it was still packed. So much for bad economy.
.
Fleming’s Steakhouse, in Radnor, PA (USA) would be considered a bargain when compared to Wolfgang’s Steakhouse in Seoul.
