스시 오오시마 – An unbelievably cheap and delicious Japanese sushi omakase eatery in Mokdong. The restaurant only has 6 seats and serves lunch and dinner. Lunch is W25,000 and Dinner is W35,000.
There are 2 seatings for dinner – 6 and 8 PM. RESERVATIONS are a must. No walk-ins. Should you be lucky to secure a reservation on the Naver reservation system, a W10,000 per person reservation deposit is required within 1 hour of making the Naver reservation.
“Hiding down a back alley in a residential neighborhood is this six-seat counter offering some of the city’s best sushi omakase for a mere 35,000 won (approximately $32). The unassuming space is run by chef Park Sangha, a sushi veteran who trained in Japan and has worked at some of Seoul’s most revered sushi restaurants. This is truly a one-man show, and Park’s DIY philosophy helps him keep costs low.” – Eater’s Matty Kim
