스시치카라 (Hapjeong Station, Mapo-Gu).

New 7-seat omakase eatery in Hapjeong Station. This place opened up on February 3, 2020. Two seatings for dinner – 6 and 8 PM. The omakase dinner price? Wait for it…………₩60,000.

The menu was excellent and for ₩60,000, it’s so cheap. Great value. Great quantity. Absolutely recommend. Downside is that they only have 7 seats and word has gotten out so it has become popular. They now have a pre-pay policy when making the reservations due to the number of no-shows. Totally understandable. Imagine 1 or 2 people not showing up at a 7-seat counter.

Here is what you get for ₩60,000:

▪️1 encore sushi (bonus piece)
▪️Udon
▪️Dessert

Chef-Owner Yoon used to work at the Gwanghwamun sushi omakase restaurant – 스시산원 경 (SUSHI SANWON KYUNG)

The Korean flatfish (광어) sushi. Go to any Japanese omakase in Korea and this is ALWAYS the first sushi piece served.

A cheesy and silky smooth custard topped by a raspberry sauce. Delicious. Almost to ask for one more.
