Highlights:  Soybean noodle soup.
Lowlights: None.
Bottom Line: A refreshing summer classic served all year long by a longstanding institution.

Cold bean noodle soup is a traditional Korean dish locals love to eat during the hot summer months. This is the godfather of cold soybean noodle soup. This institution has been around since 1962. Presidents (including impeached ones), chaebol chairmen and celebrities come here to eat. It’s a certified hole-in-the-wall.

They have a lot of stuff on the menu but you should order the cold soybean noodle soup because that is the only thing that SFP eats while he is there. This summer classic is served all year long. Located right off Exit #9 at City Hall station. Can walk from there.

SFP Tips:
1. With the cold bean noodle soup, you each get a plate of delicious kimchi. Dump kimchi in the cold bean broth (more like sludge) and eat together with the noodles.

2. The cold bean noodle soup may require an acquired taste. It may taste bland but that is why you dunk each bite with a nice slab of kimchi.

3. Don’t be afraid to lift bowl and drink the broth directly from the bowl. Got to finish the bean broth.

4.The kimchi refills are free.

5. This place is PAY FIRST. After you place your order with the waitress, give her your credit card and she will return with your card and receipt.
