홈프롬귀 – Home From Gui – Sangsu Station (Mapo). Wine bar? No. Gastropub? No. It’s a small fusion tapas bar serving up really good food and a decent selection and reasonably priced wine. 

They have been operating at its current location for about six months and previous to that, they were in operation for a year in Gyeongnidan-gil in a location that only had 10 bar seats.

Menu consists of different types of tapas with pan-Asian flavors. For example, there was this dish that was basically a kalbi jjim but a Indonesian beef dish – beef rending – with a delicious and rich curry sauce with jasmine rice and cucumbers. Loved it. Recommend.

The mushroom rigatoni pasta was great. Al dente and a very creamy mushroom taste.

The pork cheek dish was unique but a little too oily. Apparently the pork dish is their #1 seller – all the Korean customers love it and if you look up this restaurant on Naver blogs, the pork dish is consistently highlighted.

Overall, the food was really good and prices were reasonable. Would go back again to try the other menu items – e.g., duck breast, chicken, other pasta dishes, etc.

There is phone number link in Naver but no phone number that links with the Naver phone button. You have to call the number that is listed on their Instagram page to make reservations. It’s a small place – bar seating that seats about 10 covers and a long common table that seats 10 – so reservations are recommended. They are open EVERYDAY. No day of rest for them.
