퀴진 라끌레 (경북궁) – Cuisine la Cle is a brand new Quebec-French restaurant right in the Gyeongbokgung Palace neighborhood. They’ve opened for business – soft opening – since Wednesday, February 20, 2019.

We ordered the following dishes:
(1) Gnocchi & blue cheese mussels stew
(2) Beef Tartare
(3) Caesar Salad
(4) Beef Steak
(5) Pasta with ragu sauce.

Everything was great. Absolute recommend. You should definitely check it out. The menu is limited for now but the Chef Jinsung Bae says that he will be adding more tapas dishes.

For the Caesar salad, the bacon is made in-house. I would have to say my favorite dish was the Gnocchi + Blue Cheese Mussels. The soup was so creamy and cheesy.

You can call it Quebec French or Korean French – it was very good and we will be back.

Closed on Mondays. Open for lunch as well. English-friendly staff. In fact, there are 2 staff that speak English fluently.

Chef Bae did not spare any expense in the kitchen equipment and pots and pans. High-end stuff.
Spacious place but I would prefer to sit at the bar.

Perfectly cooked medium rare.
The pasta dish.
This was a very heavy dish. For two people to finish all this food was very difficult
The meat sauce was very rich.
The food menu is only 1 page for now. Chef Bae will be adding more dishes. Still soft opening.
