It’s a French bistro that’s been open for 2 years in the deep back alleys of Mangwon Dong. Every dish that we ate was delicious. Wife kept on saying “How can he still be in business using such quality ingredients and not being so expensive?” SFP replies, “It could be because the rent is so cheap because he is 3 alleys deep from the big street and in a basement….” It’s also the fact that he’s keeping his overhead costs low because it’s just him for now. He doesn’t have any other workers. It’s a one-man show.
As a starter plate, absolutely get the gnocchi. It’s made in-house from scratch. He uses fresh sage and freshly grated grana padano cheese.
The French wine selection also started at W35,000. Good value!
SFP will be posting his next visit when he goes for the Beef Wellington course meal. Note that his Beef Wellington course meal requires advance reservation and advance payment of W50,000 per person. SFP is going to have the course meal at the end of March. He will let you know if it’s any good.
