Love this little izakaya in Hapjeong Station (Mapo-Gu). It’s been open since late December 2019. I love potato🥔, bacon 🥓, mayo, corn🌽 and cheese🧀, therefore, I love Asoto’s potato salad with big slices of bacon. Yum!

Their pan fried gyoza (dumplings) is outstanding. It’s filled with ground 🐔 meat. Absolutely recommend this as well.

All their dishes did not disappoint.

Basic set-up: Cabbage with fermented Japanese bean dip
The incredible potato salad with giant slices of bacon
The maguro tuna with avocado plus cheese and egg salad.
After mixing it up…..
Eating it with the seaweed laver.
This is one of my favorite dish. A curry dip to eat with the toasted baguette slices.
So good.
Grilled chicken neck meat.
The chicken gyoza dumplings. So good. A definite must order.
The dipping sauce for the chicken gyoza.
Yakitori skewers
Grilled ginko nuts.
Clam stew
Fried chicken pieces with homemade tartar sauce.
Mackerel roll.
잿방어 is also known as the greater amberjack, great amberfish, greater yellowtail and rock salmon. This is a seasonal item.
Ordered a side of uni with the 잿방어.
Grilled 볼락 which is known as a rockfish.
This is sort of like an olive but it isn’t. Forgot what it was but it was delicious.
The menu changes from time to time.
